The latest Apple iPhone update has added a Wi-Fi – ASSIST toggle. This means that the phone will automatically switch your data from using the Wi-Fi to using cellular data if the Wi-Fi signal isn’t strong enough. This could seriously increase your data usage and costs, especially whilst abroad due to high cost data charges. The safest solution is to switch the Wi-Fi – ASSIST toggle off. You can find it in your phones settings under mobile /cellular data.
